The biggest upcoming improvements on our radar.
Email notifications for repairs and key alerts
PlannedReportingEveryoneHigh priorityFeaturedEmail alerts are planned for important workflows such as repair reports, repair updates and booking reminders.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Volunteers do not always log in every day. Carefully chosen email alerts help make sure reported repairs, defects and important booking updates are not missed.
Add Equipment Kits to existing bookings
PlannedBookingsLeadersHigh priorityFeaturedEquipment Kits can currently be added when creating a booking. A future update will allow kits to be added to existing bookings too.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Leaders often build a booking first and realise later that a standard kit should be added. This removes a frustrating dead end in the booking workflow.
Inventory site and location filters
PlannedInventoryQuartermastersHigh priorityFeaturedInventory filtering by site and storage location is planned to make stores management easier.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Structured sites and storage locations are already useful, but they become much more powerful when quartermasters can browse by physical place.
Coming soon

Structured sites and storage locations are already useful, but they become much more powerful when quartermasters can browse by physical place.
Equipment Kit pick lists and location-sorted packing lists
PlannedBookingsLeadersHigh priorityFeaturedBooking and kit pick lists will be improved so items can be grouped by site and storage location.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Groups do not just need to know what to take. They need to know where to collect it from, especially when equipment is spread across stores, trailers and sites.
Borrower contact details on bookings
PlannedBookingsLeadersMedium priorityBookings will gain optional borrower contact details for groups that need them.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Borrower names are useful, but contact details make it much easier to chase returns, clarify collection arrangements or follow up on borrowed equipment.
Void or delete erroneous bookings
PlannedBookingsQuartermastersMedium priorityA safer delete or void option is planned for bookings created in error.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Cancelling a genuine booking is different from removing a mistake. Groups need a tidy way to deal with accidental bookings without making destructive actions too easy.
Insurance replacement value fields
PlannedInventoryQuartermastersHigh priorityInsurance replacement values are planned so groups can separate purchase price, current value and replacement value.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Purchase price, current value and replacement value are different figures. Groups need the replacement value for insurance without muddying normal stock records.
Image thumbnails in inventory, bookings and pick lists
PlannedInventoryEveryoneMedium priorityItem images will be surfaced more clearly in inventory lists, booking workflows and pick lists.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Photos are most useful when they appear at the point of decision: browsing inventory, adding kit to a booking or collecting items from stores.
Simple defect reporting and pre-use warnings
PlannedReportingEveryoneHigh priorityFeaturedAllow leaders and volunteers to report defects, repairs or kit condition issues directly, with alerts where equipment needs attention before its next use. This should connect to the existing repair and maintenance workflow rather than becoming a separate silo.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
A defect report is only useful if it reaches the quartermaster and appears before the next booking. This helps stop damaged or incomplete kit being packed for camp.
Kit-level QR labels and scan actions
PlannedInventoryQuartermastersMedium priorityKit-level QR labels are planned so groups can scan a whole kit box or activity kit.
Target window: Near-term
Why it matters
Some kit lives in boxes, patrol crates or activity kits. Scanning the container should be able to save time where item-by-item scanning would be overkill.
Item manuals and PDF user guides
PlannedInventoryQuartermastersMedium priorityItem-specific PDF guides and manuals are planned for inventory records.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
Kit knowledge often disappears when volunteers move on. Attaching manuals and guides keeps practical know-how with the item record.
Module visibility settings
PlannedAdminGroup AdminsMedium priorityGroups will be able to hide unused areas of Wogglebox to keep menus simpler.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
Groups use Wogglebox differently. Hiding unused sections can reduce clutter, especially for leaders who only need a simple day-to-day view.
Item weight and load planning
PlannedInventoryLeadersMedium priorityOptional item weight fields and booking load estimates are planned.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
Groups loading trailers and vans need a rough sense of weight before setting off. Even simple weight totals could help leaders plan more safely.
Event and camp planning
PlannedEventsLeadersHigh priorityFeaturedBuild event planning into the platform as a first-class workflow.
Target window: After beta foundations
Why it matters
This is one of the strongest long-term differentiators for Wogglebox and solves genuinely messy real-world planning work.
On the horizon
Larger ideas and future improvements we are exploring.
QR scan-to-booking and item check-in/check-out
ResearchBookingsLeadersHigh priorityFeaturedA QR scan-to-booking workflow is being explored for faster stores check-out and return checks.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
For large camps, leaders need to know not only what was booked, but what physically left the store and what came back.
Public QR contact card for lost kit
ResearchInventoryGroup AdminsMedium priorityAn optional public QR contact card is being explored for lost equipment recovery.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
QR labels can help reunite lost kit with its group, but public scan pages need careful privacy controls.
Lightweight custom item fields
ResearchInventoryQuartermastersMedium priorityLightweight custom inventory fields are being researched.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
Different groups track slightly different details, but unlimited customisation can create clutter and support headaches. This needs a careful, lightweight design.
Inventory submission and approval workflow
ResearchInventoryGroup AdminsMedium priorityA leader inventory submission workflow is being explored as an alternative to broad edit permissions.
Target window: Medium-term
Why it matters
Some leaders need to record new kit, but stock consistency matters. An approval workflow may give groups the flexibility they want without turning inventory into a free-for-all.
Cross-group event equipment collaboration
ResearchEventsGroup AdminsHigh priorityFeaturedFuture event collaboration will let groups offer equipment to shared camps and events without opening up their whole inventory.
Target window: After event planning foundations
Why it matters
District events and shared camps often need equipment from several groups. This needs to be useful, but also carefully scoped so group data stays protected.
Public equipment hire, agreements and payments
ResearchBookingsGroup AdminsMedium priorityA public hire and booking workflow is being researched for district kit, trailer hire and similar use cases.
Target window: Longer-term
Why it matters
Some groups and districts hire out equipment or facilities, but public booking introduces payments, agreements and safeguarding/privacy complexity. This should be designed carefully before build.
Analytics dashboard
ResearchReportingQuartermastersMedium priorityShow useful usage trends across equipment, bookings, and activity.
Target window: After beta foundations
Why it matters
This helps groups make better decisions about what to buy, repair, retire, or reorder.

Some of the biggest things that have already landed.
Booking email digests and return reminders
ReleasedBookingsEveryoneHigh priorityFeaturedBooking emails are now available to help groups keep track of kit going out, kit due back and overdue returns. Group admins and quartermasters can receive a daily digest, while linked borrowers can receive return reminders.
Went live 14 Jun 2026
Why it matters
Bookings only work well when people trust the dates and remember what needs to come back. These emails help reduce missed returns, give quartermasters better visibility and make the booking system more useful without adding extra admin.
Inventory sub-categories
ReleasedInventoryEveryoneMedium priorityYou can now organise inventory with optional sub-categories, making it easier to group, search and filter equipment, uniform and badges.
Went live 6 Jun 2026
Why it matters
Groups with larger inventories can now keep their category list tidy while still adding useful detail. For example, Camping can include Tents, Tarps and Sleeping Mats, while Uniform can include Shirts, Scarves and Woggles.
New Help Centre and refreshed public guide
ReleasedGeneralEveryoneMedium priorityWogglebox now has a clearer Help Centre with dedicated guides for getting started, inventory, bookings, repairs, uniform, members, Wogglebox+ and support. The public guide has also been updated so new groups can better understand what Wogglebox does before signing up.
Went live 5 Jun 2026
Why it matters
As Wogglebox has grown, the old help content had started to fall behind the live app. The new guides make it easier for group admins, quartermasters and leaders to find the right instructions without digging through one long help page.
Repairs & Checks workspace upgrade
ReleasedGeneralEveryoneHigh priorityWe’ve upgraded Repairs & Checks so groups can manage damaged kit, repair progress and due inspection checks from one clearer workspace.
Went live 1 Jun 2026
Why it matters
This makes it easier for groups to spot kit that needs attention, act on overdue checks, create repairs from failed inspections, and avoid accidentally booking equipment that is already in an open repair workflow.
Equipment images
ReleasedInventoryQuartermastersMedium priorityAttach photos to inventory items for easier identification and condition tracking.
Went live 19 May 2026
Why it matters
This makes the inventory more practical in the real world, especially for shared kit, repairs, and new volunteers.
Equipment Inspection
ReleasedInventoryQuartermastersHigh priorityAn equipment inspection tag for invantory that will allow groups to mark an item as needing regular inspections, produce equipment reports based on the tag by date, type, etc.
Went live 18 May 2026
Why it matters
A lot of groups need to have equipment inspected for safety regularly for compliance and insurance reasons.
