Terms of Use
The rules for using Wogglebox in plain English.
Last updated: May 2026
Plain-English note
These terms are intended to make expectations clear for groups using Wogglebox. They are written for practical use, but they have not been solicitor-reviewed.
1. About Wogglebox
Wogglebox is an equipment, inventory, booking and kit management platform designed for Scout groups and similar volunteer-led organisations.
The platform is operated by Joss Gamble ("we", "us", "our"). These terms explain what you can expect from Wogglebox and what we expect from users.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, signing in, accepting an invite or using Wogglebox, you agree to use the platform in line with these terms.
If you are using Wogglebox on behalf of a group or organisation, you confirm that you have permission to manage that group's equipment information within the platform.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your login details with other people. Each user should have their own account.
Group Admins are responsible for inviting the correct people, choosing appropriate roles and removing access when someone no longer needs it.
If you believe someone has access who should not, you should remove their access promptly or contact us for help.
4. Group data and responsibilities
Groups are responsible for the accuracy of the information they add to Wogglebox, including inventory records, bookings, repair logs, storage locations, uniform records and notes.
Wogglebox helps organise equipment data, but it does not replace your group's own safety checks, risk assessments, inspection processes or adult supervision responsibilities.
You should not use Wogglebox to store sensitive personal data, safeguarding records, medical information or detailed records about young people.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wogglebox to:
- break the law or encourage unlawful activity
- upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the service
- access another group's data without permission
- enter abusive, offensive or misleading content
- store sensitive information that the platform is not designed to hold
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the platform without permission
6. Free and paid features
Wogglebox may offer both free features and optional paid features, including Wogglebox Plus functionality.
Free access may include limits on features, storage, history, groups, locations or other platform functionality. Paid features may change over time as the platform develops.
We aim to communicate changes clearly and fairly, especially where they affect existing groups.
7. Service availability
Wogglebox is actively developed and maintained. We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
There may be occasional downtime for maintenance, upgrades, bug fixes or issues with third-party services such as hosting, authentication, database or email providers.
8. Backups and data loss
We take reasonable steps to protect platform data, but groups should not treat Wogglebox as the only record of critical operational information.
Where data is deleted by a group user, some records may not be restorable from within the app. We recommend checking carefully before deleting important information.
9. Privacy and data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and how we protect it.
By using Wogglebox, you agree to use the platform in a way that respects other users' privacy and your organisation's own data protection responsibilities.
10. Suspending or removing access
We may suspend or remove access if we believe an account or group is being used in a way that risks the security, reliability or integrity of the platform.
We will normally try to resolve issues constructively, but urgent action may be needed where there is a security, abuse or data protection concern.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Wogglebox develops. When meaningful changes are made, we will aim to make them clear through the platform or website.
Continuing to use Wogglebox after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us through the contact page.
